Josh and Maryanne

Dear Friend

You are so brave and loved! We truly admire your strength and selflessness to love your baby so much to choose adoption. We will never be able to thank you enough; you are our hero and God’s beloved child!

We promise to always love, support, and encourage your child as she grows into the wonderful person you know she can become. We will do everything we can to help her fulfill the dreams you have for her future and we will always be grateful for the opportunity to do so. We look forward to honoring you by sharing with her every day the amazing love you have for your baby and how you had a dream for her precious, God-given life.

Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

We know that you are faced with many difficult decisions right now and we hope that this will give you just a glimpse into our lives and into our hearts. We feel God has led us to grow our family through adoption and we are excited to take this journey.  We are praying for you as you go through this journey.

Josh & Maryanne

We first met in Kindergarten and even though we weren’t really friends growing up. The Lord brought us together a few years after we both finished college. We dated for about 6 months and fell in love and were married 6 months after that. After a few years of marriage, The Lord blessed us with a son whom we love dearly and is so excited about getting a sibling. He is so sweet and such a happy, fun-loving little boy.

We have been happily married 8 years and can’t wait for the next 70 years of growing in the Lord, loving on each other, and forgiving one another.

A bible verse that we have always held close to our hearts is Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declared the Lord, plans for hope and a future.

That verse always brings us such peace as the Lord always has plans for us because he is Sovereign and He loves us so much.

Josh is a hardworking, compassionate, peaceful, loving, very smart, easy-going father and husband. His parents were very loving and set a great example of what a functional marriage looks like. They were always very supportive of each other. Their marriage has been a blessing in his life and a role model for us. He has 2 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, 3 nephews, 1 niece and 7 cousins.

Maryanne is a hardworking, fun, energetic, giving, happy mother and wife. Growing up her parents always wanted a large family and they loved each other and were a great example to all six of their children. She has 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 2 nephews, 3 nieces and about 30 cousins.

Just about all of our extended family lives about an hour away so we have always have big get-togethers during the holidays and birthdays or just-because! It’s always a lot of people, food, and fun.

We live in a quiet, middle class neighborhood. Most of the homes in the neighborhood are less than 10 years old. Our multiracial neighbors are very friendly and there are children of all ages in the neighborhood. There are a few homes still being built and our neighborhood connects with other neighborhoods, which is nice for walks or bicycle rides.

We live in a two-story home, with 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our home is warm and welcoming to our friends and family. We spend a lot of quality time in the kitchen cooking and eating meals as a family. We also spend a great amount of time playing with toys and reading books. Our home is just a minute or two from the elementary school.  We go to church with several of the teachers at the school, which is one of the best schools in the state.

We live just 15 minutes from our church and love spending time with our church family!!! They are some of the greatest people we have met in our lifetime and truly love and help each other on a daily basis. We teach Sunday School and are heavily involved in the AWANA ministry.  AWANA helps children from every background learn bible verses, enjoy games with their friends, and grow in faith.

Our entire family loves swimming on hot summer days and our son loves playing soccer. We love going to his soccer games and watching him learn and play. We also love to have family dinners and sit around the table talk about our day and what we have going on that week. Of course we don’t just have these conversations at the dinner table. We have a very open and happy family and are constantly talking about Jesus and life. We enjoy spending time with each other and can’t wait to complete our family with new little bundle of joy.

We love all holidays, especially Christmas, as it is a reminder of the birth of Jesus and His great love for us! We love to put up several trees in our home as a family and love the peace and sparkle they bring every year! We usually put them up early and take them down late.

We also love Easter as it reminds us of our risen Savior (church and chocolate bunnies), The 4th of July (swimming and fireworks), Halloween (costumes and candy), Thanksgiving (turkey and family), Valentines (cards and candy) and Birthdays (out to eat dinner and cake)!

We also celebrate good behavior, goals, and achievements throughout the year with special treats or meals.

The Lord has led us to adoption over the past several years. He has given us this desire to grow our family and has planted in our hearts the longing for another child. He has prepared our hearts for this child and we could not be more excited. The hardest part is the waiting, but we know He is working out the details and we trust and love Him.

We have met numerous people (both birth families and adopted families) along the way that God has used to encouraged us and confirm that we are following the right path.  Our church family is extremely supportive of adoption.  There have been several families to adopt in our church.

There is no reason why we haven’t had another biological child other than God is in control. He is the giver of life and He has led us down the path of adoption. God is truly amazing! Only He knows the plan! We are in constant prayer for His will and the precious child that will one day fill her room and our hearts.

Romans 8:25 “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”
