New Beginnings International Children’s & Family Services is upping their game with celebrity guest, Jerricho Cotchery, during their annual Jeff Robertson Memorial Golf Fore Life tournament on May 3, 2016. During his most recent season with the North Carolina Panthers, Cotchery received two passes for a total of seventeen yards during the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos.
Jerricho Cotchery’s football career launched at NC State in 2002, and his NFL career began in 2004 where he played for the New York Jets (2004-2010) followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers (2011-2013). He joined the Carolina Panthers as a Wide Receiver in 2014. He married his wife Mercedes in 2004.
While his career has played out on the gridiron, his family life has become his earthly priority. In 2007, Cotchery, and his wife, Mercedes, adopted their daughter Jacey from New Beginnings. Since then, they have adopted two sons, Nicholas and Joshua, and a second daughter, Journey, all through the Tupelo-based adoption agency.
Jerricho considers his marriage and family his life’s greatest accomplishments. As Christ-followers, both Jerricho and Mercedes are passionate about sharing God’s impact on their lives through adoption and the lessons learned about Christ’s love for His children
Golfers participating in this year’s Golf Fore Life tournament will have a chance to have their pictures taken with Cotchery, as well as support New Beginnings’ mission to help children find forever families. Deadline for team entry is May 1, with a cost of $90 per player or $350 per four- man team. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
