#GivingTuesday

December 2, 2013

FB_timeline (1)As you decorate your Christmas tree this week, have you watched the excitement of the season through your child’s eyes? Many families will not experience that awe and excitement this year without the gift of adoption. Maybe one of those families is your brother or sister or friend. This week, on #GivingTuesday, you can help.

Last week on Thanksgiving, we gave thanks. On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we got deals. On Giving Tuesday, we’ll give back.

#GivingTuesday is a unique global movement that inspires people of all backgrounds to give back to the nonprofit organizations they cherish. On December 3, 2013, people from all over the world will come together to support the organizations that give so much all year long. For one day, we’re asking you to help us promote our #GivingTuesday campaign.

We’re hoping to raise just $5,000. This small amount of money could:

  • Provide food for 3 birthmothers during the final months of the pregnancy

or

  • Six months rent for the New Beginnings of Kathmandu, Nepal Children’s Home

Although we ask people to spare some of their earthly wealth with us, we understand that not everyone can spare this. Whether you are able to give or not, please share our cause on your social media sites. Change your profile picture and cover photo to our graphics and share this blog on your timeline. The more people who know about our #GivingTuesday campaign, the more people we can help.

In 2013, New Beginnings spent more and gave more than we did in 2012. Although it has been challenging, we know it is also a huge blessing. So as the end of 2013 draws near, we ask that you give back, not to us, but to the people we help. Your gift will benefit young women, orphaned children, helpless babies, and parents searching for their forever children. We ask that you invest in lives, invest in families, and invest in New Beginnings. With your generosity, we will be able to do more and give more in 2014.
