Dear Birth mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We both respect and admire you for the decision you are making. We can never fully understand or imagine what you are thinking or feeling, but we know your decision is one of great compassion and courage. Adoption is the ultimate act of profound love and selflessness.

We are thrilled to grow our family through adoption as we are unable to have biological children.  We adopted our daughter, Lydia Grace, over two years ago and are so ready to welcome another child into our family.  Any adopted child that comes into our lives will be loved, nurtured, and protected. They will be surrounded by family, friends, and a community who will always celebrate and love them unconditionally. With Christ at the center of our home, we will raise our children to love the Lord and follow Him in all that they do.

We are praying for you as you seek what is best for your baby and that God gives you wisdom and peace in your decision making. For you, choosing adoption is a courageous and loving decision; for us, we are humbled and grateful to be considered prospective adoptive parents.

Love and Blessings,

Austin & Emily

 Austin…as told by Emily

I met Austin (32) on the first day of our college orientation. As cliché as it sounds it was “love at first sight!” A Kentucky boy with a southern accent, fun sense of humor, musical talents, a creative outlook on life, and a love for the Lord stole my heart. Austin is my best friend and I couldn’t imagine life without him. He loves to serve others, always puts his family first, is extremely talented and very hard working. The greatest things I have learned from Austin include how to slow down and take time to enjoy the simple things in life, to include fun and laughter in all situations, and how to love and serve others unconditionally. As a video producer and photographer, Austin has a passion for capturing life on film and he enjoys documenting the life of our family on camera. Austin is an incredible daddy. He is the best at playing pretend, starting a game of catch or kickball outside, gives the best snuggles, and always gets the best laughs out of Lydia Grace. He is loving and nurturing and will always provide our children a Godly example.

 Emily…as told by Austin

The first thing I noticed about Emily (32) was her breathtaking smile. It didn’t take long for me to see the treasure that she truly was, is, and will forever be to me. I couldn’t help but fall in love with her genuineness, ambition, perseverance in all things, steadfast love for family, unfailing love for the Lord, and of course her beauty. Never has a day gone by that I haven’t felt completely loved and appreciated by her. Emily has had a life-long history of Rheumatoid Arthritis, which she has managed throughout her life with medication and frequent doctor visits. She continues to maintain a healthy lifestyle and strives for normal daily living. God created Emily with so many gifts and talents, but it is clear that first and foremost, she is meant to be a mother. Emily stays at home with our daughter, Lydia Grace. They stay busy playing pretend, attending story time, enjoying play dates with friends, keeping up the house, and enjoying all that each day has to offer. She is such a loving, nurturing, and creative mommy who is looking forward to being a mother to a second child.

We are college sweethearts. We started dating our Junior year of college and Austin proposed on December 13, 2008 after we attended a theatrical performance of “A Christmas Carol.” After we graduated college we both started working, Emily as a first grade teacher and Austin as a video producer and editor. We were married on October 24, 2009 and had a beautiful celebration with family and friends.

Austin is a professional video producer and editor. Outside of work he serves as a deacon at church and a drummer in the praise band. He enjoys being outside, working in the yard, going for a run, or playing golf. More than anything, he loves being a husband and father.

Emily taught elementary school for many years. She received her master’s degree in Dyslexia Therapy and has provided private Dyslexia Therapy to students of all ages. Emily is now a stay at home mom and a leader for women’s bible studies at church. She loves spending the day with Lydia Grace and is so thankful for the opportunity she has to stay home and invest in her family.

Lydia Grace’s Adoption Story

After waiting and praying for several years for a child the Lord blessed us with our precious daughter, Lydia Grace (2), through adoption. She is the sweetest little girl who is full of joy and life. Lydia Grace loves to play outside, read, sing, play with her dolls and make delicious cookies and cakes in her kitchen. She is so excited to be a big sister and is praying for her little brother or sister every day.

We live in a three bedroom, two bath home in a quiet neighborhood with lots of room to play. Our home is a warm and peaceful place for us to gather with our family and friends. We love to take walks around the neighborhood and we spend a lot of time in the backyard swinging, playing in the sandbox, and tending to our small garden. We love eating our meals around the kitchen table as a family and talking about our day. Austin comes home for lunch every day and Emily makes dinner each night.

Our home is in a quiet, cozy neighborhood with lots of neighborhood kids. We enjoy having friends over for playdates and dinner gatherings. We spend a lot of time at our church where we both serve in different ways. We are close to multiple great school districts, and there are lots of community parks nearby.

We both come from very close-knit families so your child will be joining a family with grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles who will love and adore him or her as their own.  Family time is so important to us. Whether we are together for the holidays, celebrating birthdays, being creative, traveling, or enjoying a fun game or a good movie, we try and spend as much time with our families as we can. We enjoy spending a week during the Summer with Emily’s family and a week during the Fall with Austin’s family at the beach.

We are blessed to live close enough to both sides of our extended family that we spend every holiday with either Austin’s family or Emily’s family.  When we are with family we enjoy sharing stories, laughing, playing games, doing activities that the areas in which they live are known for, cooking together, and investing in each other’s lives.

As a family of three we enjoy going to the park, playing outside, baking and cooking together, traveling, and spending quality time together.

As mentioned earlier, Emily has had a life-long history of Rheumatoid Arthritis, which she has managed throughout her life with medication and frequent doctor visits. She continues to maintain a healthy lifestyle and strives for normal daily living. Due to the nature of Emily’s Rheumatoid Arthritis she is unable to have biological children. After speaking with several doctors many years ago we realized that we would be unable to have biological children and prayed long and hard about the possibility of growing our family through adoption. We knew without a doubt that we wanted to be parents. We have so much love to give and we couldn’t imagine life without children. We decided to move forward with adoption and in 2016 the Lord brought us our first child, Lydia Grace. What a joy it has been to be parents and to lavish our love on this little girl. We’ve always desired more than one child and so we are in the adoption process again to welcome another precious child into our family! I can tell you that we cannot wait to meet our next child. Lydia Grace is so excited to be a big sister and prays every day that Jesus would bring her a little brother or sister.
