About Us

Daniel- I am 41 years old. I received my Associate Degree in Networking at Copiah Lincoln Community College. I am cyber security lead for national company. I have always been interested in electronics and computers for as long as I can remember. I enjoy spending time with my family & woodworking. We have started getting more into soccer and I have been working with Caleb to help with his goalie skills. We usually have private coaching, but when we are in off times, I like to take him out to workout.

Nikki- I am 40 years old. I am a stay at home mom & I homeschool our son. It is something that I never thought that I would do, but I love every minute of it. Even when he is aggravating me. Ha! I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and watching whatever sport Caleb is playing at the time. I also enjoy running & exercising.

Caleb is 8 years old. He plays soccer, football, basketball, and baseball. Although he currently says soccer is his favorite. He has been playing goalie for over a year now. We have been lucky to give him opportunities to work with different goalie coaches. He has worked with people from Spain, the Canary Islands, and several other countries. Caleb is such an incredibly sweet child. He has a very big heart & always puts the other person first. Anytime someone is hurt, he will stop what he is doing to go check on them. He has talked about either becoming a police officer like his uncles or being in the Army. He loves playing with animals, music, sports, & being outside. He can spend hours playing with legos, trains, or just a water hose outside letting his imagination take over. His perfect day would be going to a museum or an amusement park & ending the day at a hotel swimming. A fun fact about him is that he is an Elvis fanatic.

Our Home / Community

Our home is our haven. It is where we always come back to and recharge for the next adventure. We have had so many good memories here and look forward to having many more. We have lived in our home for the past 18 years. There are so many memories here like measuring Caleb’s height against the door frame. We are about to start building a house which we are very excited. It will have more room outside for kids to run & play. And we have several friends that live in the same neighborhood with children.

Family Activities / Traditions

Christmas Eve – One of our favorite family traditions is Christmas Eve – We go to church & then come home to change clothes. Afterwards, we pick up fast food & go riding around looking at Christmas lights before we race home to beat Santa.

Dinner – We always eat dinner at the table as a family. It is a great way to talk about our day.

Christmas Tree – We have started a tradition of going to a Christmas tree farm & picking out a live tree. It always seems to get bigger every year.

Pumpkin Patch – Another one of our favorite things to do is go to the pumpkin patch every October to pick out a pumpkin. They also have a farm with animals & hayrides.

Our Adoption Journey

Daniel felt the Lord calling him to adopt several years ago but it took me a few more years before I was ready. It took us 8 years & 2 miscarriages before we were able to have Caleb. We have been trying since Caleb to get pregnant again with medical help but have not been able to. Caleb has been begging for a sibling, actually 2 brothers & 1 sister, for years. We want nothing more to give him that. I know that this baby is going to complete our family.
