WAITING FAMILIES
Larry and Tiffany
Dear Birthmother,
Hello,
We are Tiffany and Larry. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We admire your unselfish desire to give love and care to your child and we are grateful that you have the courage to consider adoption for your baby. We are praying for your health and for you to have peace about what decision to make concerning your child.
As you search for a couple that meets your expectations as adoptive parents, we hope the pictures shown and words expressed here will give you a view into who we are. We have been happily married for 24 years. Our dream to have a baby finally came true for us on Christmas Day in 2021 when we adopted our son, Joshua. If you should choose us to adopt your baby, you would fulfill our deep desire to be able to bring another child into our loving home! But more importantly, our promise to YOU is that we will love your child unconditionally, we will tell them about you and their beautiful adoption story, and we will lead them into a relationship with the Lord so that he or she would fulfill their purpose and destiny in life!
About Us
We met at a church and immediately felt like we were “soulmates.” Since we lived about 4 hours apart, we mostly talked on the phone for hours at a time and hand wrote love letters that we sent to one another through the mail (we still have each letter). When we did get to travel and meet for in person dates over the next few months, we treasured every moment together and did not want to separate. We got engaged as fast as possible and were married in the little church that held many fond memories for both of our families.
Our Home / Community
We live in a 2-story home with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We purchased this home to dream in, to hopefully and prayerfully fill the rooms with our children, our forever family. Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood in the country but is only a couple of miles from the schools, churches, shops and restaurants. We have a big yard to play in with oak trees that surround the property. There is a small pond near our woods behind the house. We enjoy watching the deer walk around the property in the evenings as well as the ducks and turtles that like to swim around in the pond. One of the bedrooms in our home is prepared just for grandma to stay in whenever she wants to visit.
Family Activities / Traditions
We love to gather in the kitchen and cook meals together and also to plan family movie nights. We love to walk and play outside with our son Joshua. We take him to the zoo and children’s museum often and try to visit the local parks weekly to meet and play with other children. His grandmother loves to join us on these outings as much as possible. We are also members of a church full of people who affectionally refer to us as family and love us.
When we can get away, we love to travel as a family. We fly out to the Rocky Mountains at least once a year to visit our family. We love to visit the Smoky Mountains as well.
Every Easter Larry’s mother would bake blueberry muffins and Easter eggs to serve for breakfast along with a chocolate bunny or cross. Since she’s passed, I carry on this Easter breakfast tradition. We open our home during Christmas time for all of the family to come and spend several nights. We cook big meals together, tell stories, play board games, and Mexican train dominos. When it’s time to open gifts, we make sure to take turns, watching each person open their gift to see the joy or laughter that it brings.
Our Adoption Journey
We have always wanted to have children. I was diagnosed with PCOS and had endometriosis as well which hindered pregnancy. I had a few medical procedures to open up my tubes and tried fertility drugs, but we did not get pregnant. We have reached out to adoption agencies to match and adopt, and we almost adopted a boy and then a girl, but the birthmothers changed their minds and decided to parent their babies right before they were born. We were saddened but we had developed a relationship with these expectant moms and supported their decision. We knew that the Lord would lead us eventually to the children that He had planned for us to love and care for. To adopt our son Joshua has been the greatest gift we have ever received! We know that when we are chosen to adopt again that this child will also be our greatest gift, and we cannot hardly wait until this day comes!
