Dear Birthmother,

First of all we want to say thank you for choosing life for your precious baby! We can only imagine what you are going through. If you choose us, we promise to raise this child in a healthy and loving environment. We will love this child with all our hearts, and he or she will never question whether they are loved! Both our extended family and friends are completely supportive in our decision to adopt. We will pray that God fills your heart with comfort and peace in your decision to do what is best for this child. Thank you for considering us to parent your child! We desire to have a family more than anything. May the Lord lead you and guide you in your choice!

Michael and Nicole

We met through a mutual friend at the local county fair in October 2004. We hung out in a group, rode some rides together and talked on the phone later that night. We ended up at the same church function the next night, and we talked for a long time. I guess you could say the rest is history because we have been together ever since. We got engaged in January 2006 and were married July 2006 surrounded by family and friends. We knew from the beginning we wanted to have a family! We tried for several years and nothing happened. We decided to just wait before seeking medical help because Michael was getting deployed. We went through several deployments, and our marriage remained strong and faithful. After he got out of the military, we started with different fertility treatments and nothing worked. We were heartbroken! We began to pray and felt like we were being lead to adoption. So here we are today!

We live in a country setting in a small town on eight acres of land. We have a three bedroom and two bath home. We love our land and enjoy spending time in the yard. There is plenty of room for kids to run and play outside! We have a pond for fishing and a pasture in the back. We have two donkeys in the pasture, and we have two pugs and a cur that love to play with kids. Our home is very welcoming, and we love to have gatherings with family and friends.

We love spending time in the kitchen together preparing meals and then eating together as a family! We both love to cook!

We love to take trips to Gatlinburg and spend time there! We say it’s our happy place and our home away from home. We love the mountains and the atmosphere there – everyone just seems happy! When we are there, our worries seem to disappear! We enjoy going to Dollywood and riding the rides and just walking and looking in the shops. Our favorite thing is downtown Gatlinburg. We love walking around downtown and just enjoying the views!

We are also really involved in our church’s outreach and Sunday school department. We go on outreach usually every Saturday and invite people to church and give them a sack lunch or a snack. We help in Sunday school whether it be helping teach, driving a bus or helping serve breakfast. We are very passionate about our church!

We chose adoption mainly because we wanted a family, no matter how we became one. Love creates a family! We have fertility issues and cannot have children on our own. After several failed fertility treatments, we feel like God led us to adoption. We have spoken to our family, pastor and friends, and everyone is so supportive! We have cried together, prayed together and remained faithful to God, and we feel like this is where he has led us. A child means the world to us, and we feel as if we will be complete once we have that void in our lives filled!
