We had an amazing time at this year’s Celebration of Adoption adoption event! This event is a special opportunity to celebrate all those whose lives have been touched by adoption. Our attendees enjoyed the silent auction, delicious food, and fellowship with others who have been touched by adoption.
We are so thankful for the support from our community and the adoptive families and their children who all helped to make our event so wonderful. The highlight of the event was our speaker, David Scotton. He was placed for adoption after his birth mother walked out of an abortion clinic in 1993. When David turned 19, he decided he wanted to meet his biological family and thank them for giving him the gift of life. David is part of the award-winning documentary, “I Lived on Parker Avenue,” which shows his journey to meeting his birth parents. David continues to share his adoption story across the country, and he left everyone feeling very inspired and thankful!
