WAITING FAMILIES
Brandon and Miranda
Dear Birthmother,
There are no words that could ever fully express what is in our hearts as we write this to you, but we hope you can feel even a small part of our gratitude and admiration.
Your strength and selflessness are beyond measure. The love it takes to make the decision you have made is something we will never take lightly. It speaks to the depth of your heart—that you would put your child’s needs above your own, choosing a path that comes from courage, hope, and an incredible kind of love.
We want you to know that your child will always know about you—about the brave, loving woman who brought them into this world. We promise to speak of you with kindness, respect, and honesty. Your story is an important part of their story, and it will be honored in our home.
We promise to love your child unconditionally, to nurture them, guide them, and celebrate who they are. We will be there for every milestone, every challenge, and every joyful moment. We will give them a home filled with warmth, laughter, and security. And through it all, we will carry with us the understanding that this incredible gift began with you!
We hope you can find comfort in knowing that your child will grow up surrounded by love—always knowing they were deeply wanted, deeply cherished, and thoughtfully placed into our lives by someone truly extraordinary!
Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for your love. With all our hearts, we promise to honor you always.
Sincerely,
Brandon & Miranda
About Us
We met in 2019 playing softball. We began dating in 2020 and married in 2023. We both enjoy sports and spending time as a family. Our daughter is 7 years old and is ecstatic to become a big sister! She is kind, helpful, and has a love for children and teaching. As a couple, our personalities are very different, but that’s what makes us work so well together! I am outgoing and enjoy being on-the-go. Brandon is very cool, calm, collected and handles everything with confidence and patience. When he came into our lives, he brought us so much peace and happiness! Both of us are very loyal, God-fearing people. We are very involved in our church family. We participate in many outreach programs and youth events in hopes to bring others to Christ.
Our Home / Community
Currently our home is a one- story, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. We love to spend time in the living room together where we play games, build things, and watch our favorite movies. Brandon and our daughter love to cook together, so they enjoy spending time baking in the kitchen.
We live in a quiet neighborhood, but are conveniently located close to everything needed. Our town has an active main street with shops, dining, and festivals! We enjoy participating in local events that our town hosts. Our town also has several park and rec sports that we are involved with. We are the coach of our daughter’s soccer and softball teams, and I am a teacher at the elementary school, so we are always active with several children and families of all races and cultures.
We are planning to build a new house in the near future with more land to spend lots of time outdoors for exploring and fun!
Family Activities / Traditions
Both of us come from very involved families with lots of children! We get together for fun traditions for every holiday. Christmas is our favorite time of year, where we play minute-to-win-it games, go on Christmas scavenger hunts through our grandparents’ farm, and travel places to see Christmas lights. The scavenger hunt is always family favorite event, for sure!
Outside of the holidays, we love to travel! We take vacations each year to visit new places and experiences. We have been to Disney World, Dollywood, St. Louis, and many state and wildlife parks! We love to go camping and take our camper to the state and wildlife parks when we travel. There are several families from our church that have campers so we all travel together and have lots of fun! We can’t wait to add another precious addition to our family to join in on the fun!
Our Adoption Journey
Roughly a year after our marriage, we had an ectopic pregnancy resulting in the loss of our baby and my fallopian tubes. Our very close friends have adopted all their children, and we felt the crossing of paths to this friendship was meant for this very reason! We love their children like our own nieces and nephews! This family has guided us every step of the way, and we pray that a child, a birth family, and our family will be blessed through adoption in the same way they have been.
