WAITING FAMILIES

Dylan and Brenan

Dear Birthmother,

First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about us & our lives. Even though we do not know you, we have prayed over you and your baby for many years. We admire your strength and courage through this process. We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through but we do commend you for choosing life & considering us for adoption.

Adoption has been on our hearts since before marriage. We can only hope that this book gives you the slightest insight on the love we share for one another. Whatever your final decision may be, we hope that you find peace and comfort in knowing that God is with you along the way

About Us

We met in middle school. Fast forward to 11th grade & Dylan finally asked me to be his girlfriend on October 6th, 2014. We both knew adoption would be a part of our lives pretty early on. At 20, Dylan decided to make this OUR story. He popped the big question in August of 2018 & we tied the knot on October 12th, 2019. Over four years later, we have built a beautiful life full of love and laughter. Dylan is 26 years old. He is determined & dependable. He is a certified Conductor/Engineer with the railroad. Hunting and fishing are his favorite hobbies. He is the biggest Arkansas Razorbacks football sports fan. Brenan is 25 years old. She is sensitive & loving. She is an office assistant/customer service representative. Baking/Cooking and listening to podcasts are her favorite hobbies. Brenan has 7 siblings.

Our Home / Community

We live in a single story home with an expandable upstairs that we hope to turn into a playroom soon. Our home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. We strive to make our family and friends feel warm and welcome. Our favorite rooms are the living room and kitchen. It is a big open area and we love to entertain our guests or spend quality time cooking meals and watching movies. Our home sits on 1.5 acres which allows us to spend a lot of time outdoors. Our house is in a spacious quiet neighborhood in the country. We have diverse group of friendly neighbors. Most afternoons you will see couples walking or kids riding their bikes around the neighborhood. We are only about 7 miles from the nearest school and their are also a couple of private school options to allow your child the best education.

Family Activities / Traditions

We try to incorporate a monthly date night to a new restaurant because we love to try new foods! Each year we pick a week to go on a vacation to a new state. We love to do all of the site seeing and touristy things. We have recently been to the beach, the mountains, the Stockyards, and Six flags. Of course many sporting events in between. Holidays are always the busiest time for us due to our rather large and blended families. We make sure to watch our favorite Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas movies. We love to decorate the Christmas tree together.

Our Adoption Journey

Since about 3 months old, Brenan was a patient at St Jude. When I was 17 I had a fertility specialist tell me I had less than 1% chance of getting pregnant because chemo and radiation had killed almost all of my eggs. He tried to extract and freeze them but couldn’t. My 17 year old heart broke into a million pieces when they handed me brochures on adoption/egg donors. Dylan was there that day & I was scared to death he would leave. Instead, he still accepted me for who I was. We got married October 12th, 2019. About a year or so after marriage Dylan decided he was ready to be a dad. God put it on our hearts to apply for adoption. We believe God has a purpose for us as a couple and as parents.

Our Promise to You: First and foremost, Dylan and I both put God first within our household. God is number one in our marriage and we are second. We strive everyday to serve the Lord and portray to others that Jesus Christ lives in our hearts. We promise to love and cherish your baby with our entire hearts. We promise to provide the best life that we know how. Your baby will be surrounded with tons of family that love and support us. We promise to offer the same love, support, and encouragement. We vow to be open and honest with your precious baby. We know that our families are eagerly waiting to love your precious baby with open arms. Your baby will be our greatest blessing from the Lord and we promise to always treat him/her as such. “Family means having someone to love you unconditionally in spite of you and your shortcomings. Family is loving and supporting one another even when it’s not easy to do so… Family isn’t always about being connected biologically, because it understands that other things and influences bind us.”
